"An illustrated collection of more than 50,000 specially written biographies of the men and women who shaped all aspects of Britain's past, from the fourth century BC to the year 2001." (No living persons are included in the database). The database will be updated three times each year in January, May, and October.Each year the updates will extend the end coverage by one year. Example: The 2005 updates will include information on persons who died in 2001; persons who died in 2002 will be added during the 2006 updates, and so forth.
