Title: | The River of Life |
---|
Notes: | On Jefferson Avenue between Main and Webster Streets in Naperville (IL) are four clay story quilts. The quilts celebrate Naperville's diversity flowing into the 21st century. They were created as a collaborative art project between Naperville high school and junior high students, their teachers, and artist-in residence Corrine Peterson. Installed in 1999, the quilts were inspired by the work of artist and author Faith Ringgold. Image by Ron Cogswell. |
