Have you ever thought about having your time directed by another calendar than that of the company, school or market? For this is the purpose of the Christian liturgical calendar: to offer you another way of counting and experiencing time. The CLC is divided into liturgical stations, which are nothing more than a reminder of the main Christian events, spread throughout the year. This circular way of looking at time has been used by the Christian Church for centuries to educate our imagination in the direction of what is essential: the centrality of Christ in our lives.
Você já pensou em ter o seu tempo dirigido por outro calendário que não o da empresa, da escola ou do mercado? Pois essa é a proposta do calendário litúrgico cristão: te oferecer um outro modo de contar e vivenciar o tempo. O CLC é dividido em estações litúrgicas, que nada mais são do que a lembrança dos principais eventos cristãos, distribuídos ao longo do ano. Essa forma circular de ver o tempo é utilizada pela Igreja cristã há séculos, para educar nossa imaginação na direção daquilo que é o essencial: a centralidade de Cristo em nossas vidas.
Liz Valente is a liturgical artist, wife and mother of 4 children; she has a master's degree in architecture and urbanism and is a professor of drawing for training architects at higher education levels. She works on several artistic fronts, such as theatre, visual arts and music, having created the album “Pipa Amarela”, released in 2013. She has worked with teenagers and young people at the Presbyterian Church of Viçosa, where her husband serves as a pastor.
