Notes:Genesis and the book Ezekiel in chapters 38 and 39 speak of the land of Gog ruled by Magog. Revelation 20:8 also mentions Gog and Magog. As indicated by this manuscript illumination, Islam's Quran has the shared heritage of the Gog and Magog legend. Gog and Magog appear throughout Asian legend in a variety of forms as land, persons, or spirits.
