Title:Pentecost art work
Notes:Origami art in the color of flames adorns the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church on Pentecost Sunday. First Presbyterian Church underwent an extensive expansion project in 2002. After several years of working/re-working plans in discussion with the local community, a fully "green" project was submitted to the City of Berkeley for approval. "If 'green' is an environmental concept applicable to the design and construction of buildings and landscapes, then we should not limit the scope of the concept solely to the natural environment. Rather, we should include key "environments" in which designers operate, including the socio-cultural, political, and natural environments." (Gillem, 2007 ARCC Spring Research Conference)
