Notes:Roch of Montpellier donated his inheritance to the poor, becoming a pilgrim. When he returned home, his reputation for many good works followed him, but he humbly gave credit for those efforts to God in Christ, shown in this painting as a Redeemer figure. Photograph by Georges Jansoon.
